Hongakuji Temple is one of Nichiren Buddhism temples in Japan that was built in 1274.
Kamakura is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture,once it was a political capital along with Nara and Kyoto.
It makes an easy day trip from Tokyo.

This temple is famous for 100 old years crape myrtle tree.
You can see it from mid of July to September.
But lotus flowers are also beautiful

Cotton rose began to bloom,too.
The building on the right side is the main temple.
It was renovated in 1981.
