I went to Kiyomizu-dera temple to see cherry blossoms in Kyoto at 2 April 2015.
Kyoto is one of the most popular place for its beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms in Japan.
They have a lot of temple and shrine that you can see gorgeous view.
Among them, Kiyomizu-dera temple is very very famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
At first, I went to Osaka castle to see cherry blossoms in this day.
It is also famous place of beautiful cherry blossoms.
Then I headed to Kyoto by getting on Shin-Kaisoku of JR line from Osaka station.
It took about 30 minutes, 560 yen.
Shinkansen is faster, but very expensive(about 3,000 yen).
So if you want to save the money and go to Kyoto as soon as possible, Shin-Kaisoku is the best.
At Kyoto station, I left my stuff in the coin-operated locker.
They have a lot of lockers in many places.
Then I went to the bus stop.
It was very crowded with tourists.
So I had a hard time finding bus stop for Kiyomizu-dera temple.
Finally I could find it after several minutes, but people made a long line!
But there are many extra bus, so I didn’t wait so long as I thought.
Inside the bus was crowded,too.
The time it took to Gojo-zaka bus stop was 2~30 minutes,230yen.
About 10 minutes walk from bus stop to Kiyomizu-dera temple.
Kiyomizu-no-Butai stage or Hon do(main hall),the most famous place in this temple.
There were many bare trees than I thought, but the view was still gorgeous.
※ Kiyomizudera’s main hall is covered up from February 2017 to March 2020 for the renovation of its roof.
You can enter the main hall during the renovations, but you can’t take a picture like this.
