Anyoin temple is popular for its over 100 years old big azalea tree.
Kamakura is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture,once it was a political capital along with Nara and Kyoto.
It makes an easy day trip from Tokyo.
Anyoin temple was established by Hojo Masako for her husband the first Kamakura Shogun, Minamoto no Yoritomo in 1225.

As I walked the road toward this temple, there was big pink wall!
This is an entrance.
To take picture of azaleas with a stone pagoda is good as well as the popular composition.
Information board written in Japanese,Chinese and English.

Jizo temple.
A stone tower and azalea behind the main hall.
It is said that this is a most oldest stone tower in Kamakura.
This temple is small, so you can see all of the places in 20 – 30 minutes.

・On foot
12 minutes walk from Kamakura station.
・By bus
Kamakura station→ 4 minutes by bus(bound for Nagoe/Zushi station : No.30 or Midorigaoka Iriguchi : No.31) → Nagoe bus stop → 2 minutes walk
・By car
There is a free parking lot (for 5 cars).
But it is a little difficult to park because it is narrow place.
So you can use pay parking lots near here.
The nearest one is Repark Kamakura Oomachi 2 cho-me(1 minute walk).
