Japanese silver grass made by crystal glass at Hakone Garasunomori Museum

Hakone Garasunomori Museum (Venetian Glass Museum) is one of the most well known museum in Hakone area.
They houses a collection of over 100 pieces of Venetian glassware in the Italian styled buildings.
It displays both modern and classical works.
Hakone is very popular destination for a day trip from Tokyo as it has nice hot springs, natural beauty and beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji as well as a large number of good museums.

A pathway from entrance leads you to this beautiful garden with a brilliant glass walled corridor.
Italian styled building on the left is the museum.

In the garden, you can see Japanese silver grasses made by 13,000 pieces crystal glass from the end of August to November every year.

BY TRAIN AND BUS
Odawara station → 40 minutes by Hakone Tozan bus bound for Togendai → Get off at Hyoseki/Hakone Garasu no Mori Mae.
(About 2 hour from Tokyo station)

BY DIRECT BUS
Busta Shinjuku → 120 minutes by Odakyu Bus → Hakone Garasu no Mori
