Eishoji temple was established in 1636 and is the only remaining nunnery in Kamakura – once it was a political capital of Japan between 1185–1333.
You can enjoy seeing the various flowers in each season.
But the scenery of the red spider lilies in the garden between the mid and end of September is most popular.
This picture is the shoro Shoro belfry(National important cultural property) and red spider lily.
I think this is the best photo spot in this temple.
View from the Shoro belfry side.
I stood at the position in the yellow circle and took picture with 2.5 – 3 times zoom by iPhone7Plus.
I considered the composition that the garden is completely covered with flowers.
But the path is narrow and there were many people, so it was difficult to have much time to take pictures.
So I went there at 9:00, the same time as the opening hour of this temple.
Ginger flowers and red spider lily.
It is also a nice, instagram worthy photo spot.
Red Spider lily and Yagura.
It is an artificial caves that used as tombs and cenotaphs in the ancient times.
This temple is larger than other ones in Kamakura.
So there are many things to see other than red spider lily.
This picture is Somon Gate(National important cultural property) .
